Answers to Common Questions
How long does an infusion appointment take?
Most appointments take 1-2 hours from arrival to departure. The actual infusion time varies depending on the medication type and your response. We allow extra time for registration, consultation, and post-infusion monitoring.
What should I bring to my appointment?
Bring your Medicare card, private health insurance information, photo ID, and a list of current medications. If you have previous medical records relevant to your infusion, bring those as well. We’ll send a pre-appointment checklist via email.
Is the infusion process safe?
Yes. Topdoc Infusion Clinic follows strict protocols aligned with AHPRA standards and TGA guidelines. All medications are TGA-approved. Our clinicians are trained in IV administration and monitoring, with continuous safety oversight during your infusion.
What happens during the infusion?
Our nurse places an IV in your arm, then administers the medication at a controlled rate. You’ll be monitored throughout. Most patients relax, read, or work during the infusion. We have comfortable recliners, WiFi, and a calm environment.
